THREADS ENGINE

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 July 2026

Threads Engine ("we", "us") is operated by Marcus Cole, based in the United Kingdom. This policy explains what personal data we collect through the Threads Engine app, how we use it, and your rights over it.

Data we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address, and a securely hashed password.
  • Content you create or connect: generated and saved threads, your niche/offer inputs, voice profile, and any reference images you upload.
  • Threads (Meta) account data: when you connect a Threads account, we store your access token (encrypted at rest) and use it to publish posts, read engagement metrics, and manage replies on your behalf.
  • Usage and scheduling data: which posts you've scheduled, published, or cancelled, and their performance metrics.
  • Any review you submit, and the display name you choose to show alongside it.

How we use it

We use your data to operate the service you've signed up for — specifically to:

  • Generate Threads content on your behalf using your niche, offer, and preferences.
  • Publish, schedule, and manage posts and replies on your connected Threads account.
  • Send you account-related emails (e.g. password resets).
  • Show you your own account activity, analytics, and notifications within the app.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run Threads Engine, each of whom processes data only as needed to provide their service to us:

  • Anthropic — processes your niche/offer inputs to generate thread content.
  • Meta (Threads API) — publishes content and reads engagement data on your behalf, using your own connected account.
  • Resend — sends transactional emails (e.g. password resets). We do not send marketing email through this service.
  • Neon and Vercel — host our database and application infrastructure.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK/EEA. Where they do, they provide appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for international transfers.

Cookies and sessions

We use a single essential session cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use tracking or advertising cookies.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, contact us (details below) and we'll action it.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, restrict or object to our processing of it, and request a copy of it in a portable format. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you have concerns about how we handle your data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us directly.

Children

Threads Engine is not intended for, or marketed to, anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
